This is a stone mace head.

It is from El-‘Amra. The Egyptian soldier could use a mace, slingstone, spear, bow and arrow, axe or knife against the enemy. The mace is one of the oldest wespons in the world. The stone head was fitted securely to a wooden haft. The weight of the stone, especially when used at close quarters, made it a very effective weapon. The disc-shaped head gave a sharp cutting edge added to the weight of the weapon. This is a stone mace head. It is made from diorite. It is between about 5,100 and 7,500 years old, dating to the Predynastic Period (5500-3100 BCE).
