This is a winged scarab.

It is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. Winged scarabs were sewn onto the linen wrapping or the bead network covering of mummies. A winged scarab, like a heart scarab, provided protection in the Afterlife. Unlike the heart scarab, it was not inscribed with the prayer from the Book of the Dead as a prompt when needed. This is a winged scarab. It is made from faience. It is over 2,000 years old, dating to the Ptolemaic Period, 332-30 BCE.
