This is a comb.

It is from grave B122 at Ab’adiya, Diospolis Parva. This was probably a plain and functional comb. The other two bone combs in the grave may have been decorative hair pins rather than for combing the hair. This is a comb. It is made from ivory. It is at least 5,100 years old, dating to the Pre-dynastic Period (about 5500-3100 BCE).
