This is a figurine of the goddess Maat.

This is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. Maat was the goddess of truth and justice. She represented the essential harmony of the universe, and the ancient Egyptians strove for maat or balance and order in their lives and in their world. This maat kept at bay the chaos that existed before creation. Maat was usually portrayed as a seated woman wearing an ostrich feather. She oversaw the judgement of the dead, when the heart of the dead person was weighed against her feather. If the heart was heavier, the person was destroyed and lost their chance of everlasting life. This is a figurine of the goddess Maat. It is made from a copper alloy. We do not know how old this object is.
