This is a pectoral amulet with an image of the god Osiris.

It is from Abydos. Pectorals were sometimes sewn onto the breast or stomach of the wrapped mummy as a protective amulet. The hieroglyphs read “Osiris, Lord of Eternity”. The imagery relates to rebirth and resurrection through the god Osiris, who died and came back to life. This is a pectoral amulet with an image of the god Osiris. It is made from faience. It is over 3,000 years old, dating to the 20th Dynasty (1186-1069 BCE) in the New Kingdom.
