This is a shabti.
It is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. A shabti or ‘answerer’ inscribed for ‘the Osiris, Pay-neb-mos-e’ . The inscription on a shabti usually has part of the prayer to bring the shabti to life and the name of the owner. The majority of shabtis were made in faience, but some, like this one, were made in clay. This is a shabti. It is made from clay. It is about 3,200 years old, dating from the 19th Dynasty, New Kingdom; about 1295-1186 BCE.
