This is a sickle.
It is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. Farmworkers used sickles throughout Egyptian history to harvest crops such as barley, emmer wheat and flax. The wooden handle has a cutting edge of small, serrated flint blades, which are set in a groove and held in place with a glue, possibly bitumen or tar. This is a sickle. It is made from stone and wood. We do not know how old this object is.
