This is an amulet of the goddess Tawaret.
It is from Tell Nabasha. Tawaret was the goddess who protected women during childbirth. Her image was carved on beds and headrests, and amulets like this one were mass-produced. Taweret had no temple dedicated to her, but every woman worshipped her because of her importance as a household deity and her link with childbirth. This is an amulet of the goddess Tawaret. It is made from faience. It is over 2,500 years old, dating to the 26th Dynasty (664-525 BCE) in the Late Period.
