This is a throwing stick.

It is from Luxor. The throwing stick was used to hunt wild birds in the marshes. When thrown at a flock of birds, it spun in the air and caught in the feet or wings of one or more of the birds. There are many paintings on the walls of tombs showing scenes of hunting birds in the marshes. It is not clear whether this sport was open to a wide range of people or whether it was limited to the rich. This is a throwing stick. It is made from wood. The age of the throwing stick is not known.
