This is a jar.

It is from grave 1101 at Qau el-Kebir (Antaeopolis). A small jar, perhaps to hold perfumed oil, from the offerings placed in the grave of a woman. This is a jar. It is made from Egyptian alabaster. It is at least 4,300 years old, dating to the 5th Dynasty in the Old Kingdom (about 2494-2354 BCE).
