These are beads.

They are from grave U185 at Hiw (Diospolis Parva). These beads were roughly made from garnet and turquoise. They may have been strung as a necklace or as a bracelet or anklet. These are beads. They are worked from semi-precious stone: turquoise and garnet. They are at least 5,100 years old, dating to the Pre-dynastic Period (5500-3100 BCE).
