This is a necklace.
It is from Mazghuna, possibly from grave ZDR. This small necklace contains carnelian and faience beads. The pendant beads are made from semi-precious stones such as lapiz lazuli. The one faience amulet, a tiny figure of the god Bes, suggests that this might have belonged to a child, as Bes was a protector of the family and the patron god of childbirth. This is a necklace. They are made from faience and a semi-precious stone, carnelian. It is at least 3,300 years old, dating to the 18th Dynasty (about 1550-1295 BCE) in the New Kingdom.
