This is a bowl.

It is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. As well as the jars and pots holding food, the dead needed dishes to eat from. This bowl is not high quality tableware, but it reflects what the dead person or their family could afford. This is a bowl. It is made from clay. It is possibly 5,100 years old, dating to the Pre-dynastic Period (about 5500-3100 BCE).
