This is a figurine of Isis and the child Horus.

It may be from Saqqara. In the Late Period, metalworkers made many of these small figurines of gods. People usually bought them to give as an offering at a temple. Isis and Horus had a special meaning for women, relating to motherhood and fertility, and this type of figurine, of Isis nursing Horus, was very common. This is a figurine of Isis and the child Horus. It is made from a copper alloy. We do not know how old this object is, though it is probably from the Late or Ptolemaic Periods (747-30 BCE).
