This is a finger ring.

It is from grave D35 at Abydos. Jewellery was worn for adornment. It might also give some spiritual protection. This ring has a figure of the god Horus, so wearing it might call upon the god to protect the wearer. This is a finger ring. It is made from faience. It is at least 2,700 years old, dating to the 22nd Dynasty (about 945-715 BCE) in the Late Period.
