This is a sistrum.

It is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. A sistrum is a rattle, used by women, priests and priestesses. They often featured the goddess Hathor, as in this example, who was connected with sexuality, joy, and music. Above Hathor’s head, a frame would have held the discs that made a rhythmic sound. This is a sistrum. It is made from a copper alloy (bronze). We do not know how old this object is.
