This is a small figurine of an ibis bird.

This object is from Egypt but the exact location is unknown. The Egyptians regarded the ibis bird as the incarnation of Thoth, god of writing and knowledge. Many figurines were made as offerings to the god. This small figure of the bird was probably given as a votive offering to the god at a temple. This is a small figurine of an ibis bird. It is made from a copper alloy. We do not know how old this object is.
