It is from grave W38 at Hiw, Diospolis Parva. This ivory kohl stick is broken. The missing end would have been the part used to apply makeup to the eye. A kohl stick. It is made from ivory. It is about 3,800 years old, dating to the 12th Dynasty the Middle Kingdom (about 1985-1795 BCE).
