These are beads and bead spacers from jewellery.
It is from grave D226 at Abydos. Tomb 226 had been robbed, but a lot of beads were left by the tomb robbers. These ones are made of glass, with a few faience beads. They were restrung by the archaeologists, but it is not known how they were originally strung. The beads may have been strung as a multi-strand necklace with the bone spacer beads separating the strands. These ones would have been from a necklace with 10 strings of beads.Museum register numbers H3349 and H 3351 These are beads and bead spacers from jewellery. They are made from glass and bone.
